The constantly changing collection is a streetwear collection that is inspired by the 80’s Italian design group Memphis and their ideas. They were a reaction against the modernism clean style, where form followed function. The Memphis group was the opposite, colorful and playful designs with inspiration from different architectural epochs and design styles.

 

We have used Memphis ideas and used it  with some of our own favorite themes and design epochs. The mystic ancient Egypt, the constantly changing kaleidoscope, the samurai world, ancient Greek garments, and on top of that we have used icon items as traffic signs, planets and “dalahäst, which is a painted horse in Swedish folklore. It all blends together in a collage of changing chaos.

 

We have worked with an oversized silhouette with strong bold allover prints. We have used details that are common in streetwear like drawstrings and nylon bands and from that created beautiful decorations without any functional purpose in the spirit of the Memphis group.
